ERM Certification & Verification Services (CVS) is one of the fastest‑growing teams within ERM Group, delivering world‑class certification, assurance, validation, verification, and audit services across a wide range of industries.<br>As a Lead Auditor, you won’t just assess systems—you’ll help shape how organizations manage safety, sustainability, quality, and environmental performance worldwide.</p><h2><b>What Your Impact Is</b></h2><p>In this role, you will:</p><ul><li>Lead accredited audits and assessments that help organizations meet global EHS, quality, and sustainability standards.</li><li>Influence clients’ environmental and operational performance through high‑quality insights, reporting, and risk identification.</li><li>Partner with industry leaders across sectors such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Manufacturing, Technology, Pharmaceuticals, and Data Centers.</li><li>Strengthen ERM CVS service delivery by sharing knowledge, coaching peers, and contributing to internal best practices.</li><li>Support business growth by identifying opportunities to expand client relationships and service offerings.</li></ul><p>This is a remote role based in North America, ideally on the U.S. West Coast or Northeast, with 50–75% travel. Most audits occur within the U.S., and global travel may occasionally be required.</p><h2><b>What You’ll Bring</b></h2><h3><b>Required</b></h3><ul><li>Graduate-level qualification OR professional education in Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality, or a related discipline.</li><li>5+ years of professional experience in operational roles, management system development, system assessment, or performance reporting for EHS objectives.</li><li>Experience in at least one of the following sectors:<ul><li>Oil & Gas (upstream and downstream)</li><li>Mining & Minerals (IRMA, ASI, CopperMark; open pit or subterranean)</li><li>Data Centers (energy use, EHS systems)</li><li><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">Manufacturing/Fabrication</span> (e.g., pharma, metals, transportation, machinery, household goods)</li></ul></li><li>Training or understanding of at least two management system standards: ISO 9001, 14001, 22301, 27001, 45001, or 50001.</li><li>Working knowledge of ISO 17021 and ISO 17029 requirements.</li><li>Understanding of U.S. or broader Americas EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, and sector-specific requirements).</li><li>Strong organizational skills with a track record of delivering audits on time.</li><li>Excellent communication and client-facing skills across cultures and organizational levels.</li><li>Ability to produce clear, concise audit reports and present findings effectively.</li><li>Experience coaching others in audit delivery.</li><li>Fluency in English, with strong written and spoken communication skills.</li></ul><h3><b>Preferred</b></h3><ul><li>Additional languages (Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese).</li><li>Broader cross-sector audit experience in complex or high-risk operations.</li><li>Experience contributing to the development of audit processes or competency frameworks.</li></ul><h2><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li>Lead accredited audits in accordance with ERM CVS procedures, standards, and quality expectations.</li><li>Prepare high‑quality audit reports and determine assessment conclusions that support client performance improvement.</li><li>Share knowledge and contribute to the development of ERM CVS methodologies, competencies, and internal guidance.</li><li>Identify and support business development opportunities with ERM CVS Partners and client teams.</li><li>Represent ERM professionally in client interactions, maintaining trust and credibility at all organizational levels.</li></ul></div>
